چکیده
TileCal is the central hadronic calorimeter of ATLAS experiment at Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It a sampling detector where scintillating tiles are embedded in steel absorber plates. The grouped forming cells, which read-out on both sides by photomultiplier tubes (PMTs). PMT digital samples transmitted to Read-Out Drivers (ROD) located back-end system for events accepted Level 1 trigger system. ROD core element electronics and it represents interface between front-end overall Data AcQuisition (DAQ) responsible energy time reconstruction, data synchronization, busy handling, integrity checking lossless compression. standard 9U VME board equipped with DSP based Processing Units mezzanine cards. A total 32 modules required entire detector. Each module has process from up 360 PMTs real less than 10 microseconds. commissioning RODs was completed 2008 before first LHC collisions. Since then, several hardware firmware updates have been implemented accommodate evolving Trigger DAQ conditions adjusted follow parameters. initial system, different operational experience during Run 2 presented.

CALIBRATION AND MONITORING OF THE TILE HADRONIC CALORIMETER OF ATLAS WITH A 137Cs SOURCE
Monitoring and intercalibration of the ATLAS TileCal is based on a hydraulically driven gamma source system. Extensive R&D has been carried out and has led to a detailed design for the full ATLAS TileCal. A prototype system has been built and tested on the Barrel and Extended Barrel modules. The realisation of the Cs source system, results concerning its performance, comparisons with other cali...
متن کاملThe ATLAS Liquid Argon Calorimeters Read Out Drivers (ROD)
The Read Out Drivers (ROD), which are described here, are part of the electronics of the ATLAS Liquid Argon Calorimeters. A ROD module receives triggered data from 256 calorimeter cells. It calculates precise energy and timing of the calorimeters signals from discrete time samples. It also performs monitoring and formats data for the next element in the electronic chain. To assess the feasibili...
متن کاملNoise Characterization of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter Readout System
It is shown that the addition of a low pass RC filter to the current ATLAS Tile Calorimeter 3-in-1 card decreases the high frequency noise. A peak in the output voltage is found for 29 Mhz input noise but is filtered out by the same low pass filter.
متن کاملEvent filter monitoring with the ATLAS tile calorimeter
The ATLAS Tile Calorimeter detector is presently involved in an intense phase of subsystems integration and commissioning with muons of cosmic origin. Various monitoring programs have been developed at different levels of the data flow to tune the set-up of the detector running conditions and to provide a fast and reliable assessment of the data quality already during data taking. This paper fo...
متن کاملThe ATLAS Tile Calorimeter Test Beam Monitoring Program
During 2003 test beam session for ATLAS Tile Calorimeter a monitoring program has been developed to ease the setup of correct running condition and the assessment of data quality. The program has been built using the Online Software services provided by the ATLAS Online Software group. The first part of this note contains a brief overview of these services followed by the full description of Ti...
